wild approach

beauty deep within the chasm of light. falling through the darkness. screaming. when a hand reaches out.... and pulls my chord. forgotten. i prepared for this. i packed my chute. air rushing past -- filling my wings. caught. hard. now floating. no longer screaming. only laughing. quietly deep inside my core. I LAUGH. i float effortlessly to the ground and take hold of the hand that reminded me of what was inside.

quiet consumption

chilling sight
fallen out of step
forgotten seasons
mistaken impressions
of a doomed reality
that subsides....
inside.

when my forest
is used up
forgotten
and
destroyed

who will notice?
who will re-plant?

modern necessities
not needed
and
no longer
wanted.

classic formations
yearned for

i desire not
a continuation
not
a stagnation
not
a resurrection
but
a transformation

into something
new
and
never seen

modern gifts
of science
and thought
used
to create
a new
natural order.

gilbert

'what Eustace sees is a society steadily undoing itself, it might be argued, by its own over-resourcefulness. Clever, ambitious, and always in search of greater efficiency, we Americans have, in two short centuries, created a world of push-button, round-the-clock comfort for ourselves. The basic needs of humanity - food, clothing, shelter, entertainment, transportation, and even sexual pleasure - no longer need to be personally labored for or ritualized or even understood. All these things are available to us now for mere cash. Or credit. Which means that nobody needs to know how to do anything anymore, except the one narrow skill that will earn enough money to pay for the conveniences and services of modern living.'

natural beauty

Tolstoy

"I often lie awake at night from happiness, and all the time I think of our future life together. I have lived through much, and now I think I have found what is needed for happiness. A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good, and who are not accustomed to have it done to them; then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one’s neighbor — such is my idea of happiness. And then, on the top of all that, you for a mate."

'all that is negative and injurious to your relationship is born of fear. fear births jealousy, fuels anger, and prompts harsh words. the most difficult times contain the greatest fear. if you would live in love, do not be afraid.'

Guaranteed

"On bended knee is no way to be free
Lifting up an empty cup, I ask silently
All my destinations will accept the one that's me
So I can breathe...

Circles they grow and they swallow people whole
Half their lives they say goodnight to wives they'll never know
A mind full of questions, and a teacher in my soul
And so it goes...

Don't come closer or I'll have to go
Holding me like gravity are places that pull
If ever there was someone to keep me at home
It would be you...

Everyone I come across, in cages they bought
They think of me and my wandering, but I'm never what they thought
I've got my indignation, but I'm pure in all my thoughts
I'm alive...

Wind in my hair, I feel part of everywhere
Underneath my being is a road that disappeared
Late at night I hear the trees, they're singing with the dead
Overhead...

Leave it to me as I find a way to be
Consider me a satellite, forever orbiting
I knew all the rules, but the rules did not know me
Guaranteed"

"There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more"

clinically insane
morally deranged
wild-eyes search
for meaning...
looking in the wrong places
asking the wrong questions
staying inside the lines
inside the box
unable to wield the hammer
that will knock down all
of the preconceived notions of
what life is suppose to look like.
fighting against the system
while staying within the system
unable to break it
destroy it
holding it close
unable to let it go
using the tools of the master
to destroy the master's house
unable to see that
the best destruction
comes from surprise
use your own tools
make something alien

tangled

twisting
changing
turning
into
something
else
into
someone
else
metamorphosis
taking place
slowly
over time
looking
less
and
less

like
what
i
once
knew
and
more
and
more
like
something
i have
never
known

wondering
why
this
transformation
must
occur?

wondering
why
everything
must
inevitably
change?

Everything Must Change.

even what
was
once
perfection
and
bliss
must
evolve
into
something
different.

for
better
or
for
worse.

ancient mariner

'Water, water, everywhere,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.'

'Alone, alone, all, all alone,
Alone on a wide wide sea!
And never a saint took pity on
My soul in agony.'

'Around, around, flew each sweet sound.
Then darted to the Sun;
Slowly the sounds came back again
Now mixed, now one by one.'

'The pang, the curse, with which they died,
Had never passed away:
I could not draw my eyes from theirs,
Nor turn them up to pray.'
