- I earned my Bachelor's degree in Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Oregon while interning as a Rape Crisis Counselor. After graduation I continued my internship and was employed as a Support Care Specialist for alter-abled adults in the community. I am strongly committed to empowering others to overcome their personal obstacles and to live the richest and fullest lives possible. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast. My favorite nature loving activities include backcountry backpacking, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, climbing, yoga, and trail running. I also spend an incredible amount of time with a book in my hand either reading or writing. My passion is for writing poetry. Poetry is an extremely personal form of artistic expression. My writing is a reflection of me. I write openly and with no rules. I do not have any grand notions that my poetry will change the world. But, it has changed mine.
